So i was thinking about trying my luck on the 9x8 type1 2 pass pineapple knot! Am I just gonna follow the same instruction as on the 7x6? Or is there another way of tying it?

The rules will be the same for both PKs. This may help:

thanks Rick

but i'm in a position where i can't use a grid right now, tried that one the other day on TP roll, but just couldn't get it to work as i'm not having any equipment to work with..
so i'm just gonna try it out on "free hand"
bestest of luck to me
Be Well

Good luck to you, I'm sure if you can tie the smaller one, you'll do fine with this one as well. The "rules" are the same.

This link may help with making needles.

I got my needles from Don at:

One member didn't have stick pins, so he just cut slots to hold the string on his mandrel.

We'd love to see pics, too!

hehe i kinda did my own needle too, and a mandrel with those cotton pins you use for cleaning your ears Wink it does work, just did the heel knot on it, but my main problem is getting the grid to fit, i see i have to resize it, and get it to fit perfectly on my "TP mandrel"
i will upload some pictures when it's done
Thanks again for your links and response Wink

Hey Poul Eli, sorry the grid size is wrong. Where in the world are you? Someone in Canada told me the TP tubes up there are a different size. You could also use the cardboard from a cereal box, a little tape and make the tube to fit the grid. Looking forward to the pics!

hehe guess it's different size here to.
I live in the Faroe Islands, and work as deck boss on a norwegian factory trawler.
I tried making a clean cut thru the TP roll and tape it again to fit the grid, but it only got very sloppy working with, so think i'm just gonna wait till I get home again, 10 days that is, for making another run at it. At home i got all equipment also Smile

I sure do have some good tips, lol. Follow all of Dan's tuts, the rules are the same so you should do great. Don't hesitate to ask questions as there are plenty of folks that will help. Oh, and keep posting pics as we all love them.

Very nice peb717, looks like you have got them snug and well filled.
Now make a few hundred and you can decorate a tree with them. Smile))
