What defines the LLK? A manrope knot is similar but smaller. Let's take 8 strands and tie a manrope. First the wall then the crown. Follow the lead then tuck down. Pretty simple but it only makes a mushroom head on it. In the photo I made an eight strand MWK and tied some crowns on top of it. ABOK 954 left right left etc. I made the wall then instead of crowning I did an over one under one and made the same 954 crown followed the lead then tucked down. That's more like a diamond knot with a crown right? I think the pairing of the strands in the LLK is throwing me off. But in Philpott's book he provides crown patterns to put on the top of them.
