Most of the books in my "Netmaking" library were purchased over 20 years ago, most at used book stores and library sales.  If you want any details of these books post a message or PM me - Tony
NETMAKING - Charles HOldgate.  Gift from wife in 1971.  First and favorite of all my netting books.  The aothor was a school master in Great Btitaain and his instructions and drawings are clear and easy to follow.  Many nice projects to make and go on your own.
NETS, HOW TO MAKE, MEND AND PRESERVE THEM, G.A. Steven - this book was on my "wish" list for years.  finally back in print.  One of the few boks I purchased new and well worth it.  Drawings clear and instructions are easy to follow
DOWNEAST NETTING - Barbara Morton - Subtitle - history and how-to of netting - it lives up to that.  nice book, now back in print
NET-MAKING AND KNOTTING - 1974, Hartzell & LaBarge - nice instructions and many projects, some off-the-wall like sculpture and lamp shade cover.
HOW TO MAKE AND SET NETS and MODERN INSHORE FISHING GEAR - John Gardner - Not for the recreational net maker - for commercial fishing gear
HOW TO MAKE NETS - author unknown, published in Great Britain  e-bay purchase  -  this book was photo copied so that 2 pages (5 1/2 x 8 1/2) are in each page of the 8 1/2" x 11" copy.  lots of extras describing other knots.
NET MAKING FOR SPORT - HOward Glynn - covers the craft from the point of view of the sport of ferreting
FISHERMAN'S KNOTS AND NETS - Gramont and Wenstrom - Taken from the Encyclopedia by the same authors
KNOTS AND NETS FOR FISHERMEN AND OTHERS - Quinton Winch - Nice instructions and projects

I forgot a very interesting Book, sometimes available on e-bay - Diderot & D'Alembert's Encyclopedie - Chasses - Peche  (Hunting & fishing) and the nets used.  This is a reprint of one chapter of a 1700's French encyclopedia.  very interesting nets drawn and described and nice drawings of netting techniques
