TIP: hello knot tyers...
...if you are going to be making turk's head knots and
pineapple knots it really helps to have a nice set of mandrels!
...you can get a complete set of wood dowels in sizes from 1/8"
to 2" from Freeman Manufacturing & Supply Company...
...depending on what type of knots you are making you can cut
the mandrels from 6" to 12" (+-?!)...i use an inexpensive
hobby miter box to make the precision cuts, etc...(i numbered
my dowels with a wood burner ala the Bruce Grant books and
i burned in the sizes on the ends and i used 1" medical
tape for an edge to make some knots, etc... (and to make them
look nice!))...
