Hello ~ I'm new to the site specifically because I tried like heck last night to tie a LLK key fob after being sent here by Nils on the KHWW site and man did I botch it.
I'd like to take some pics and upload them but want to verify first what size file and resolutions your prefer.
I'm going to un-botch the knot tonight and take pictures as I go so hopefully, I can get schooled on how to make this knot.
In advance...

hello Shamr0ck...
...i know you can post .jpg's and .gif's....
...no doubt a few other formats too???....the
size of the 4 LLK's is: 433x559....and it is a
fairly large .jpg but not really huge??!!
...you do have to use a url though...if you don't
have a url for the .jpg (or .gif)...you can email
the image to me and i will make a url for it:
knot_tyer@knotical-arts.com
....the best way to find out how your post looks
is to use "Preview" before you click "Submit"....
i use "Preview" sometimes 5-6+?? times to make
sure i get the post right??!!....
...i'm glad you're making LLK's and hopefully
we can help you to get it right??!!....it took me a
year+ to learn to tye the LLK and another year+
before i felt i got it "right"?!...i know my instructions
aren't perfect but hopefully i can help folks when
they get stuck??!!...

OK ~ I'll start snapping pics and email them to you (unless I can figure out my .mac account)....
if you want to preserve the images in the thread, i guess email will work best. I "un tied" the one I have in progress and will work on stepping through the steps and try to clearly mark the strands. I think one of the issues may be that I don't have enough cord due to unintentionally under tensioning as I built the 6 strand crown. I will untie the double wall and take out a crown or two to recover some length.
Thanks in advance for your assistance. _________________ --

hello Shamr0ck...
....coming up short at the finish is something
all knot tyers have done!....there are some
(turk's head) knot calculators that will help,
but what i've found is to just cut the cords for
the first knot extra long and keep a good record
in your "knotebook"...your second knot will be
no problem!....you can even cut the
cords extra-extra long and use the scraps for little
zipper pull type knots?!!....

Well ~ I tried and re-tied the LLK and got ahead of my self....
The first attempt is going into the "gotta try to get better bucket". I did have some 2mm cord, but not enough so I tied everything EXCEPT the LLK and am happy with the footrope knot up on the thimble. Wasn't so happy with the first version in purple.
Even in 2mm cord, the diameter of this fob is large and even though i only crowned 3 times and then tied the MWK, it is longish for a key fob.
Instructions on the site are a great help ~ will let you know how the next attempt goes and thanks for the assist(s).
BTW ~ i posted the latest effort in the "toot your horn" thread on KHWW.net _________________ --
